The collective good of the various perfunctory giving personalities

 Hi,

Just as a refresher, personalities can be divided by their perfunctory giving, ie what does not have much of an effect on others:

  1. Non arising of unarisen inauspicious evil spiritualities

  2. Dispelling of arisen inauspicious evil spiritualities

  3. Arising of unarisen auspicious spiritualities

  4. Continuation, non-confusion, intensification, multiplication, cultivation & culmination of arisen auspicious spiritualities

Personalities group together by their type. Thus it can be asked - what are their collective actions, actions which are for the benefit of the whole personality-group? My proposal:

  1. Arising of unarisen auspicious spiritualities

  2. Continuation, non-confusion, intensification, multiplication, cultivation & culmination of arisen auspicious spiritualities

  3. Non arising of unarisen inauspicious evil spiritualities

  4. Dispelling of arisen inauspicious evil spiritualities

i.e., the collective good is doing what comes naturally to the opposite personality type. Precisely because it does not come naturally does one need the society, the group.

As an example take the first kind of personality, someone who finds sense-restraint a practical & doable practice. This being would not pay any attention to sights due to which fervor-distress might arise, sounds due to which fervor-distress might arise, .., spiritualities due to which fervor-distress might arise.

Having closed of the avenues due to which unarisen inauspicious evil might arise, one is axiomatically in tune with sights, sounds, .., spiritualties that are auspicious. They would naturally fall into groups like Meditative Mind - YouTube. And we can see how meditative mind is a collective good that benefits the whole personality type.

Now, I do not believe that Meditative Mind is the most that is possible. It may just be possible to do better than this, and it is worthy goal.

EDIT (3/12/2021): The giving personalities corresponding to the perfunctory giving personalities. This is the best way to describe them.
